Why You Should NOT Drink Milk!

Dairy is killing YOU!

Why you should NOT drink milk

We’ve all been told that milk is great for you! It’s supposedly high in vitamins and minerals, particularly calcium. However, emerging research challenges that, revealing potential drawbacks associated with milk consumption.

“The countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis are the ones where people drink the most milk and have the most calcium in their diets” - Amy Lanou Ph.D.

Unlike other species, humans often consume milk into adulthood, and in the United States, a concerning practice involves administering antibiotics to dairy cows en masse. This widespread use of antibiotics to prevent infections translates to human exposure through dairy consumption.

Furthermore, the injection of growth hormones, specifically synthetic bovine growth hormone (BGH), into cows for increased milk production raises health concerns. Elevated levels of IGF-1, associated with BGH, have been linked to an increased risk of cancer in humans.

Additional adverse effects linked to milk consumption include:

  • Promotion of excess estrogen.

  • Increased bloating and stomach pain.

  • Excessive mucus production in the respiratory tract.

  • Increased inflammation.

  • Heightened insulin resistance.

  • Decreased energy levels.

  • Acne development.

  • Bone fragility.

  • Weight gain.

While dairy products do contain valuable nutrients, the misconception that milk alone ensures strong bones is debunked. Strong bones require a combination of calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin K. Obtaining these nutrients through supplements is recommended to avoid the potential collateral damage associated with consuming milk from antibiotic-treated and hormone-injected cows.

Also, dairy operations pasteurize the milk. Meaning milk is heated to a specific temperature for a set period to kill harmful bacteria. This allows milk to simply last longer in your fridge and in the grocery store. The problem with heating milk is that it also strips milk of its good nutrients and so they need to ‘fortify’ milk with vitamin D & vitamin K. It’s a highly artificial process.

The best possible way to drink milk is straight from the cow. We all know that’s not possible and therefore you should just avoid dairy products altogether.
