Injured or Sick? Focus on these 4 things!

Getting injured or sick sucks. I know you may want to get a workout in but it’s

probably not the best idea. You need to focus on the things you can control.

- Your nutrition

- Light walking

- Light stretching

- Sleep

Make sure you really focus on nutrition. Take advantage and cook up some

healthy recipes packed with protein. Avoid those snacks and treats that are

holding you back. This is especially important given how you’re not burning as

many calories throughout the day. Go for a light walk outside and listen to your

favourite podcast. You can even do a deep stretch for 30 minutes. Most

importantly though, make sure you plan for added sleep. This should help

expedite your recovery.

These testing times are great for building mental resilience. Throughout your

fitness journey injuries will happen and it’s important to focus on what you can

control. Not on what you can’t. Don’t obsess over your injury and limitations.

You’ll get back to full recovery sooner then you know and be much stronger

mentally.
