9 reasons why

I’m 29 and feel better then when I was 20 & here’s 9 reasons why:

1) I quit vaping.

I used to be extremely addicted to vaping. Every day I would wake up and search for quick nicotine hit. I was destroying my health and wasting time in the process. 

2) I stretch every single day

I developed a stretching habit during COVID. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Stretching is huge when it comes to preventing injury. Dedicate at least 10 – 15 minutes daily.

3) I quit porn

This is a huge problem for most guys and consistent porn consumption will drain your energy, sexual energy and lower your testosterone in the long term. 

4) Started taking cold showers every morning

Another habit I adopted during COVID. Although not necessary the benefits of a cold shower are amazing overall! A cold shower a day keeps the doctor away and significantly raises your dopamine levels for a sustained period of time.

5) Started prioritizing single ingredient foods

I divide 90% of my meals like this: 50% vegetables, 25% complex carbs and 25% protein. As for fats, I either have almonds during, cook with olive oil or have an avocado for breakfast.

6) Take creatine daily

Creatine will enhance muscle recovery and muscle build. It’s the most important supplement that everyone should be taking. Aim for 5MG daily.

7) Eat protein with every single meal

If you’re like me then you probably hate counting your calories. It’s super important that you prioritize eating enough protein daily which is 0.8 times your body weight in LBS. Have a protein shake to supplement your protein needs. 

8) Started taking magnesium & collagen

Magnesium is a great supplement that helps improve sleep and collagen helps your skin stay young and fresh.  

9) Track sleep

So, I bought an Oura ring recently and follow a strict schedule when it comes to sleep time. I eliminate food 3 hours before bed, 2 hours before bed I eliminate liquids and 1 hour before bed, I turn off all electronics. I take out a good book and prime myself for bedtime.
