Four Life Changing Habits

I’m 29 years old and I turn 30 years old in March. Here are 4 habits that have served me well and will continue to set me up for life.

1) Weightlifting & consistent exercise 

I was lucky that I had a friend named Blui who got into fitness early. By 15 he was jacked and was doing pushups right in front of me. I saw first-hand how much this boosted his confidence and was benefiting him. So, I started at the age of 16 and haven’t stopped since. 

The earlier you start prioritising your fitness and health the better. Trust me your life will drastically improve.

2) Choosing growth over comfort

This is a big one. I hate being fearful of certain things. When it came to talking to girls, public speaking or just putting myself out there. You must be willing to face your fears head one. It’s the only way and you’ll become a better version of yourself in the process.

3) Surrounding myself with positive people

I remember I had a buddy named CD and I thought this guy was my friend. Turns out he was incredibly toxic and would make me feel very insecure. He would manipulate, talk down and consistently gaslight me. As a result, I developed an inferiority complex that took me years to overcome.

Since then, I’ve prioritised being around positive people that uplift me rather than tear me down. I’d recommend you do the same and seriously evaluate who is benefiting and hurting you.

4) Prioritise self-development 

The best investment you’ll ever make is in yourself. Focus on getting better every single day. You’ll look back at the end of the year and marvel at how much you’ve improved.

- Listen to podcasts

- Surround yourself with more successful people

- Move to a different city

- Do something hard every single day
