5 Things You NEED to Avoid

So, life is highly competitive, especially in the United States. In school, we’re looking to outperform our classmates in sports, academics, and scholarships. Simply put, you must compete at all age levels; if not, you’ll be left behind, and many people are.

From your entire academic career, every kid is competing to get into the best school possible. I felt the pressure and did my best to outperform each day. Times are changing, but the main undercurrent still remains: competition.

You must understand this because it shifts your focus, allowing you to push yourself to work harder, whether you want to earn a higher income, advance in your career, or improve your fitness. You simply HAVE to first recognize that you are in serious competition with everyone else, and second, you must put yourself in the best situation to win.

Everyone wants to get rich, get a six-pack, marry the most attractive person, and live in the biggest house. This is a common desire that we all share, and to be completely honest, most of us will not be able to attain those things.

You need to understand that if you want to accomplish what you desire in life, you need to set yourself up for success, especially when it comes to avoiding these 5 different behaviors.

  1. Smoking weed

Grant Cardone mentioned that smoking weed slows you down. Yes, you can still be successful if you get high every day, but you're making your job a lot harder. You need to wake up sharp and clear, ready to conquer every single day.

  1. Watching porn

It's a complete waste of time. As a man, you have an endocrine system comprised of dopamine and testosterone. When you expose yourself to artificial stimulation, you’re depleting your dopamine. Don’t fall into this cycle. On top of that, you waste a ton of time and brainpower choosing the right video.

  1. Playing video games

It gives you the illusion that you’re accomplishing something when you’re just passing the time. Time is your most finite resource. Use it wisely because you only have so much time in the day.

  1. Vaping

Possibly the most useless activity on planet Earth. Chemicals that make these vapes taste like fruits are destroying your health. Longevity is so important. I get that it’s addicting, but you can stop, and you should.

  1. Drinking alcohol

It destroys your health, finances, and is absolute poison. If you drink, do it once in a blue moon. Don’t be the person who drinks casually or on the weekends. It's a complete waste of money, time, and energy.

To be successful, you need to conserve your most valuable resource, which is time and energy. Learn to cut out anything that isn’t providing you a return on your time or energy.

Getting in shape will help you save time and energy down the line. Also, the effects will ripple into every aspect of your life and will help you tremendously with any goal you wish to accomplish.

It will provide a significant return on investment. My clients are doing just that and becoming the best versions of themselves.
